Dear Friend,
As we entered your hotel, you were so happy to see us and we were happy to see you. It was nice to finally put a face to the name that I’d been exchanging emails with weeks prior as we planned the trip. You were so kind and accommodating to all our requests, but you blew our minds when we actually got there.
Even though we didn’t get to make all of our dinner reservations in advance, you still assured us that we would have a perfect vacation because you were crowned “King of Positano” and would make things happen. We laughed, but was happy to see that you delivered on your word. You made a few phone calls and got us reservations at some of Positano’s most exquisite restaurants.
We enjoyed having chats with you about life, marriage, family and even your late father. It broke our hearts to hear how much you missed him and the legacy he left behind. As you both worked together in the tourist industry and family furniture business, it was evident how close you two were. “Giovanni, I know your dad is proud of the man you are today,” I said. Immediately, I saw your disposition soften in relief. It’s as if you didn’t hear those words enough. I was happy to say it and mean it. As you thanked us, It was heartwarming to see your eyes glisten as you quickly looked away.
Even when I requested particular decorations to celebrate our occasion, you went out on your motorbike and made sure it happened. You went above and beyond, no matter how big or small our needs were. Thank you for showing us amazing service and hospitality even outside of your job description. We are truly grateful and the Amalfi Coast will forever be one of our favorite memories. Because of your dedication and passion for the work that you do, we are happy to call you a Friend.
With gratitude,
Your Friends at Travel Bien
