Traveling Well To Create Unforgettable Memories

Favorite Memories from Around the World

Visiting the Eiffel Tower

One of my favorite traveling memories was visiting the Eiffel Tower. I had not eaten breakfast because I overslept, so the day seemed extra-long as I become more and more hangry. I was with a tour group with other college students, so we weren’t able to stop anywhere to eat lunch. We continued visiting tour sites around Paris like the Latin quarter, Lock Bridge, and finally the Eiffel Tower. I remember laying down on the lawn and looking up at the sky. We all toasted and took pictures recreating the iconic “Friends” opening credits video next to the Seine River. The breeze cooled us down and at that very moment, I forgot I was hungry. It was a great experience. ~Karl E.

Spending Time with the locals in Indonesia

My favorite memory was during a trip to Bali with my twin sister. The country is so lush and full of life. We couldn’t get enough of the beauty. We decided to visit a local SDA church out there and it was so cool to be able to fellowship with the Indonesian community. They were even so kind enough to serve us some of the yummiest local food for lunch. Afterwards, we all took pictures along with countless selfies. Although I was far away from home, being in the midst of their warm spirit made me feel at home for a few hours. That was certainly a moment I will always cherish. ~Joanne L.

Impromptu Girls Trip to Curacao

My favorite vacation was a completely random last min trip to Curaçao with a friend. It was the most different from anywhere I’ve ever visited. It was an island with gorgeous beaches, but was also a desert with cacti, and also had tons of caves with perfect sized bodies of water inside of them for a relaxing swim. We rode on 4 wheelers through the desert during sunset and had our Bluetooth speaker and were singing to Beyoncé at the top of our lungs. We hiked up their tallest mountain and ofc the view at the top was worth it.  It was the most perfect last min thing I’ve ever done. ~Simona D.
